You should have waited for the next generation. Full FoV 4K VR is coming very soon, and is the first time VR will be truly immersive in my opinion.

I've used a few different VR headsets and not one of them has been able to get rid of the feeling that you're looking at a screen through binoculars, in large part due to the screen door effect, which is much less noticeable than it was on the original Rift devkit, but it's still there.

Anybody here have a Xbox series S and a series X, is the performance difference noticeable? Not worried about 4k. I have a series X but not a series S and was curious. (Reason- I was thinking of buying a series S for a second tv, for when grandkids come over, to keep them off my X)
