The one time I left without locking the door, we came back and the front door was wide open and my 3ds was not behind the living room t.v. where I put it. It's life though shit happens this just happens to be a huge pile of it.

Btw if the Wifi was on then Nintendo could locate ur XL if you have the serial number of the unit but i think you gotta proof that its urs. A receipt or maybe if u told them what's on the 3DS could prove it.

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.+1

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
