TBH, I'm not all that thrilled with it, either. The only recent Pokemon game I couldn't put down was White/Black (but not B2/W2). Otherwise, I haven't really been super-hooked on an entry from the series since Silver/Gold/Crystal, maybe Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire.

My first Pokemon game was Fire Red and that's why i still like it i think but for the rest no man fuck Pokemon and it's entire "Competetive" Scene

I'm only like halfway through the game, but what I've played so far is fun. The trials are a neat way to add boss battles. I will say that wild Pokemon being able to call for help is absolute trash and there is no excuse for the performance issues.

I'm neutral really about the trials. The fact that they had to kill triple/rotation battles for the sole purpose of performance really is inexcusable to me.
