Video game music hacking should be taken more seriously in the GC and Wii scene, I'm tired of the BMS format not getting the proper treatment it solely deserves.
Of course there's nothing I can do about it but many of the other people that have better experience with this can lol but sadly just don't want to. It's understandable and at the same time not understandable, everyone seems to care more about 3ds and Wii U music more which is unfortunate.
VGMStream only supports the streams for GC and Wii games, not the sequences. We're years ahead of those games now and no one has successfully been able to decipher BMS files which are extremely different from BMS scripts or anything like that you may have heard.
AW files which are the wavs have been properly figured out though and me and a friend of mine worked on ripping some midis from bms files found in GC and Wii games but there is still no official software that can inject the bms sequences and aw wav files together and make a soundfont for each song like other programs for video game music have. It's frustrating to say the least.
And a friend of mine Nisto made that python script for RE4 for the streams! It's awesome I used it too long ago lol I love RE4 music so he was happy to make the program for us.
I think the Mister is cool and all, but honestly I have seen some video's exploring the difference between hardware and software emulation and the advantages of both.... I would pick software over FPGA, wouldn't mind some sort of hybrid approach but I can only imagine how complex that would be and how expensive.
