Also, If I can make it work, I believe that it does have JIT/dynarec. So it could potentially be way faster.

Umm... Well, the dynarec build compiles after like 2 modifications. Gonna test now.

might be worth testing the speed on Old3DS as well (forcing clock speed to 268MHz has same effect)

can't use HANS with homebrew CIAs usually.... you could edit the RSF and set clock speed to 268MHz

Oh well. Hey, just a thought: have you considered maybe porting the DSonPSP build of desmume? It's already optimized to run on slower embedded systems and maybe that could help in making 3ds DS emulation faster. So, quick update: I took a look at the link zoogie posted, and have been working on porting it. From what I can tell, it's quite a bit faster. Only problem is that the renderer I'm making seems to not want to work properly. It just produces lots of garbled graphics.
