(i know lul Freeshop eShop and web browser.) but what about local Co-op in games like fantasy life, MH, Pokemon Etc. do we still have the ability to streetpass locally? i'm honestly in the mindset "If i get banned i get banned, as long i can local co-op i'm happy", theres Better devices to use for netflix/hulu/youtube on the go (and even then the N3DS Web browser works w/ the YT Mobile site. )

A good rule of thumb is:

Do you need nintendo's servers for it? (Some local multiplayer doesn't)

And will they be able to make money from you if they don't ban it? (eShop for example)

Anything that doesn't require connecting to Nintendo's online server is usable.

Local play should still be possible.

It's all good, I played locally with friends yesterday IRL, only I was banned tho, so you still can play "lan" games like Pokemon battle/trades and Mario Kart, Monster Hunter, etc.

As a Pokemon genner, not much really. On the bright side I've been thinking of using the banned console as a means of doing Gen 6 RNG when (not if, it is in fact coming) it's released. I can also dedicate that console to playing older Pokemon main titles, especially romhacks. Unfortunately it's the same console that has Bank and other important purchases tied to the NNID, so I hope I can move that NNID to another console. This massive inconvenience has accelerated my goal of purchasing yet another 3DS console. I was thinking the N2DS XL would be the next purchase, but no, I need another N3DS XL, especially if I can transfer the NNID to it.
