so i bricked my 3ds (i think) it will stay on a black screen with a blue light if luma3ds is on the consoles sd card already but if i format my sd card and reinstall luma3ds it will show luma3ds's config screen? can my brick be fixed or is this a known issue? cheers

Assuming you were following 3ds.guide to get to where you were, you should have either godmode9.bin or godmode9.firm in SD:/luma/payloads

Hold down the Start button on boot, and if necessary select GodMode9. During the process of following the guide you should have made a NAND backup. Find it on the SD card and hit A on it, then restore the NAND.

It definitely helps people help you if you mention atleast one of the following:
1) What you did that you think bricked your device
2) Where you were in the guide if you were in the process of modding
3) What CFW (Including version)/exploit (A9LH/B9S/MenuHax) you were using

Just saying "I think I bricked, how do I fix it?" won't elicit very helpful replies.

Any of the A9LH/B9S installed console can be booted into A9LH/B9S payloads, including SysNAND-CTRNAND formatted ones (=human brick if no backup).

If he followed 3ds.guide he should have a Backup to restore it after installing A9LH so: Human Bruck if deleted backup

Restore a NAND backup using GodMode9. If you don't have one, then try using the 9.2.0 ctrNAND transfer files to save whatever is left of your 3DS's NAND and then update (with Luma active, of course.) This will (probably) remove all of your games/save data, so only do this if you don't have a NAND backup.

3d.guide no longer makes you make a nand backup and there is no a9lh it is only b9s

If he (tried to) installed Luma before B9S came out he should have a backup just like I did.
