Question Regarding art sharing threads

First of all, sorry if there are errors on my post, my english isnt good enough.

Regarding this topic, at which point are we allowed to share or stuff there? I mean, if we are not sharing explicit adult themes we shouldn't have a problem with the community. There 8s a reason that subforum exists and is fir people or artists whose would love to share their work and hear other people opinions... isn't gbatemp supposed to support creativity being it related to homebrew/games development or art?

Recently a thread on the Art sharing subforum was closed due to sexualised content being shared or talked... I think there was something mistaken... you are restricting someone' freedom to share his/her art related stuff... I know why it was closed, i tried my best to look for rules breaking stuff, but i didn't find anything. The stuff on the op were no way nsfw and shouldn't be considered like that. Nothing shared was explicit nor implicit, everything was meant to be friendly at least for a +12 audience.

About the stuff being talked on the posts, i mean seriously, we are not able now to make induendos? to talk about who we are? What we like?

Now, regarding the fa stuff... seriously? No links were gave, no username were gave, fa was just mentioned and that's all. Cant we talk now about online galleries? Almost every online gallery has nsfw hosted on it, but it is s natter of the user if he wants to search for that stuff over there. If we apply that logic, even social media shouldnt be allowed to be mentioned, since even twitter is used to share artistic stuff and nsfw material.

What i try to say is, that it was s bit rude to close a thread without talking to the op first and look for a fix for it... We should be able to share our stuff if we are not doing something wrong.

Heck, i have seen a lot if weebs sharing boobs and lolis on the eof, or people talking worse things on other forums, users saying the word "dick" without concerns... but yeah, bevause it is weeb it is ok to do so.

This was it all, thanks for the read. This was mostly aimed to the staff but feel free to comment.

Not really, they were triggered at a chibi covered with tentacles as if they were hidding the genitalia, but there wasnt any genitalia, so the tentacles were hidding nothing and were just decoration (in short, a chibi with barbie doll anatomy showing nothing)

If i learnt anything from the 10 years i've been working as a artist,
As long as no nips or genitalia is shown, it's not nsfw. Especially if it's just a chibi. There are tons of "Nude" chibies out there.

Those anime pics are different though, as they show large amount of skin and... boobies and stuff :V

Does it really matter? Mods decided to delete it and that's that. Frankly there shouldn't be any fetish pictures on here. Just isn't relevant at all. This isn't anything against furries. It's for all fetishes. If you wanna share that stuff make a discord group, or a forum. or join an existing one.

As to what is NSFW and what isn't it's impossible to dictate those terms. I'd use the "if someone reports it then it's too NSFW" rule. Which isn't perfect but is a good rule of thumb.

Chibi being groped by tentacles isn't NSFW, but an anime chick in a bikini is NSFW? Even though no genitalia are shown which by your own rules makes it SFW. You're not even being consistent with your own bullshit.

The issue WAS addressed in the original thread by Bortz. He made a very succinct and rational post on the issue, if the catboy or anyone else wanted to discuss it further they are free to PM the staff about it. Not go on a crybaby spree in this thread that is KNOWINGLY against the rules.

If people dont want to be treated like whiney furry faggots then maybe they should stop acting that way.

Nah, that was my bad. I typed SFW when i meant NSFW. You say if it shows genitalia it's NSFW. Then you say the anime pics are NSFW, but they don't have genitalia. And then you say a chibi being groped by tentacles is SFW. Just makes no sense. at all.

You missed my point. I was pointing out the lack of logic in the post. Not saying the chibi pic is necessarily NSFW. (though from what i hear i'd definitely classify it as NSFW)

And regardless of all of that it doesn't matter. Isn't allowed in this post as shown by the mods actions. Whining isn't going to change anything. Make a discord, make a forum. Whatever. Just not here.

True they don't show genitalia but large amount of skin with huge breats, feets and stuff. Which is in my opinion worse than a simple chibi without any showing bits and a few tentacles flying around
(this is something you see in nowadays cartoons).
