Pretty sure it will be someday. As far as I know, 1.54 isn't that more demanding compared to 1.53.

Has supposedly cycle-accurate timing in many aspects of the IRQ and S-SMP, among other things, more games run, and Byuu helped with development, though maybe Bsnes/Higan Performance or Balanced would be a good test.

Sorry, it was only a controller config issue, everything is working fine now, thanks! BTW, most of MSX games are in DSK format, and the core doesn't support it, do you think it will be implemented anytime?

I only have 2 roms for msx (metal gear 1 and 2 ;) ) but they are .MSX2 format. About adding different file types. That's upto the Retroarch guys. :)

Huh?
Standalone Snes9x IS Snes9x 1.54, isn't it?
I recall some users mentioning playing my ALttP Redux hack with alongside MSU-1 support, so it should be at least 1.54 to be able to play 1.54.

Is it really? I assumed it was 1.53 still.

So the latest build has msu1 support?
Yes it does, it has for quite a while too.
Btw, I don't what's the Changelog for 1.54.1 or anything, but with the latest standalone Snes9x I could boot BS Zelda just fine, while it gave a blackscreen before.
Maybe the update of version did the trick? Who knows, but I won't complain

Yeah, I'll attest to BS Zelda working. Likewise, MSU-1 support sounds wonderful in a LttP. I also tried it out for MMX and SoM but the musical choices there aren't as fitting in my opinion. All they same they definitely work (even though Secret of Mana's tracks take up over a GB by themselves).

Just to let you all know, I found out about FF not working in Snes 9X : it's just that it can't work if rewind is enabled with a too low granularity. Around granularity 30 it starts to work and no lag :)
Weird 'cause FB Alpha works better with heavier games, but at least it's doable !

FCEUmm works fine with any granularity ! Anyways granularity 1 is really slow, 5 is good enough for me and seems to work well with most cores.

Read the link the user posted again then..... it's not that difficult as long as you have a DS VC game.

Like brienj said check your hbl version first (if you're running from a site it should be fine), also check you didn't accidentally download the midway version, finally you mentioned you just want to play Sonic Fighters? Is the black screen appearing AFTER you try to load the rom (as in the menu loads)? That's perfectly normal, you ain't gonna get that rom running in mame I'm afraid (FYI, set up Nintendont in vwii and grab Sonic Gems Collection, it's on there ;) )
umm whats the mame format that retroarch takes
