Mmmm, yoshi is installing, but the size is wrong on wupinstaller... it is normal ? Like 3gb istead of 7something

I just now figured the game size / percentage error in WUPInstaller XD
The size in screen is the size after the last 4GB block, because the FAT32 limit.
In example, Mario Kart 8 have a size of 4,10GB, and WUPInstaller says 45Mb... giving a full installed percentage over 1000% XD

Hello,

Quick question: I have noticed it doesn't work for me. I believe I did everything right (getting the game with JNUSTool, getting the title.tik, patching it with the tool, putting it in my Install folder alongside with all the data from the game, formatting my USB key to Wii U format, launching HBL and executing the WUPInstaller.

My problems:

1) The modded WUPInstaller tells me I shouldn't install games that I didn't buy. The tool is not wrong, but still I used the old WUPInstaller (HBL 1.0 version by dimok) and
2) Now it says" Not a version title or game update" (something like this)

Tried with uppercase and lowercase Install folder, didn't do anything.

Now I have noticed that all the website hacks seems to be using the payload532.html, which seems to imply that my console is still on 5.3.2 ? I remember spoofing it but then I did an update. I should be on 5.5.1 right ?

Or is there anything else wrong with my setup ?

Hello,

Quick question: I have noticed it doesn't work for me. 1) The modded WUPInstaller tells me I shouldn't install games that I didn't buy. The tool is not wrong, but still I used the old WUPInstaller (HBL 1.0 version by dimok) and
2) Now it says" Not a valid title or game update" (something like this)

Tried with uppercase and lowercase Install folder, didn't do anything.

Now I have noticed that all the website hacks seems to be using the payload532.html, which seems to imply that my console is still on 5.3.2 ? I remember spoofing it but then I did an update. I should be on 5.5.1 right ?

download with NUSGrabber, not JNUS

It's still "deleting" safe to say it's corrupt, nothing takes this long to delete.. If I move the non corrupt stuff to a HDD and wipe the drive will the Wii U recognise it after a format? Or are the Wii U's backup features terrible?..

Anyone know? In the mean time going to try redownloading it from a different Nusgrabber, you never know what might be causing it I suppose, will report back if it corrupts during install again later.

JNUS doesnt have the cert file. And with WUP Installer, are you using the NexoCube version, original, or Brazilian modded one?
Ah right that might be it, I don't remember seeing a cert in the folder.

I tried two WUPinstaller: The one in the first page (which says I shouldn't install games I don't own, then quits without doing anything) and the one I already had in my SD card, which I believe is the original WUPInstaller (says HBL version 1.0 by Dimok, but I believe it was just some kind of repackaging ?)

The WUPInstaller in the OP says "not install if you don't buy" when you not put the .tik or the .cert files in the install directory

Yea, first try using the original NUSGrabber first. If that doesn't work, I will post the Brazilian one.

Yeah that's it. Now it is installing ;)

Thank you for your help guys !

By the way @Cyan you might want to add this information to the front page (The JNUS not downloading the title.cert and the meaning behind the weird message from WUPInstaller). There is people who actually read the front page :D

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
