There is always a risk when modifying FIRM0/1, but the safeA9lh payload is much more stable than the homebrew version used when installing A9LH for the first time.
I've updated twice now, always sticking to the plailect guide and downloading the official safeA9lhinstaller and a9lh from the official github releases.
I had a friend name the payload start_safea9lhinstaller.bin, but DO NOT DO THIS as once you enter the payload the start is used to uninstall and if you are on 11.1 you just lost cfw (he lost it!).... Name it like the guide says down_safea9lhinstaller.bin.

I´m currently following Plailects guide on updating A9LH. When I download data_input_v3.zip it aint a zip. It´s a .torrent file! Do you know how I can solve this?

From A9LH readme:
Usage
It loads an arm9loaderhax.bin (does not init the screens) or arm9loaderhax_si.bin (inits the screens) ARM9 payload from the root of the SD card or CTRNAND at address 0x23F00000.
This means that it offers a BRAHMA-like setup, and as such has compatibility with every payload BRAHMA can run.
You can also run code on the ARM11 by writing its memory address to 0x1FFFFFF8.
Try to re-name the arm9loaderhax.bin to arm9loaderhax_si.bin
Should work if you follow BootAnim9 installation instructions.

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it. -
