ROM Hack Best way to edit in or duplicate a Shiny or Legendary Pokemon?

Hello, first of all, sorry if this question has been asked before, I did a quick search
and only found Pokemon fan made (hacked) games. I've read a couple of things here
and there about buying a Dongle but nothing conclusive about CFW...

I don't mean to hack my game to have invincible Pokemons but all my life I
wanted a shiny Pokemon and Never managed to get one. I was wondering, what's
the easiest way to hack one into the game? I would also love to have some legendaries
I never managed to get, like the ones on different versions of the game. Are there any CFW
out there that allow this? or do I always need to buy the save dongle?

There are many legit ways to get shiny pokemon, like RNG, PokeRadar, shiny value etc.

Btw, the easiest way is QR code injection, but your 3DS firmware must be 9.0.0-20 - 9.5.0-23. If your firmware is higher than 9.5.0-23, you can use Save Manager. If your 3DS is lower than 9.2.0-20, you can install CFW and use SaveDataFiler.

I know that, but you can get shiny pokemon from previous generations and transfer them to Gen VI. OP wants shiny pokemon, so I think RNG still count.

Ah ok, I have a new 3DS with firmware on 9.0.0-20 on Sysnand and 9.5 on Emunand. Can I still use save data filer? or
do I have to bring back my emunand to 9.0? Also does this allow me to get a legendary pokemon from another generation?
Like do I need to have a save game from Black & White If I want Zekrom for example?

My friend has all the legendaries that I could just duplicate but he's been a **** about it

I even told him about the Shiny Rayquaza they're giving away right now...

You can still use SaveDataFiler, just need to install reiNAND or CakesFW. SaveDataFiler and PKHeX allows you to obtain any pokemon.

Yea thanks! I made it work with SaveDataFiler!

For anyone looking at this thread in the future:
SavaDatafiler > Export Save from the pokemon game ID > PokeHex > Import from mSD > Make Pokemon > Export to mSD
> SavaDataFiler > Import back into the Pokemon Game > Done

I just haven't tested if the Pokemon work online, also can anyone Scan the QR code Pokehex
makes and get any pokemon? Even if they don't have any CFW?
Like could you send them a QR over the cellphone? That would be really cool

Be very careful when online any mistakes made on the pokemon used online will result in a ban this can be from something as simple as battling with a fletchling that has a caught level of 6 when the max is 5

Damn, I figured as much, I'm trying to make every Pokemon a hatched Pokemon with a regular Pokeball. How can they ban your game btw? CIAs don't have private headers do they? or do they ban your whole 3DS from accessing any game online?

Pokemon handles online play very seriously you'd get upset if I battled you with a full team of Unbound hoopas that do 999 damage with 999 hp

You only get a ban from pokemon online play btw

lol I'm not looking to curb stomb noobs, I'm a noob myself, I only wanted a shiny Gardevoir lol but I don't
want to be banned forever for something stupid like putting the wrong route of capture etc. I also want to
stop my friend from dangling his 50 legendaries he bought over my head lol. I don't even like Legendaries,
I'm a casual Pokemon player that plays for fun, that's why I would like to skip the 100 hours of breeding
for one Pokemon

banned. Is there a way to test if a Pokemon is fully legal? or do I just have to test it online and pray I don't mess it up?

You can use it as a base for other mons that can be breed.

No you cant test with anything like you used to you just need proper knowledge of the game and fact checks using something like serebii
