I don't think so, I did encounter that during development but I thought I had fixed it before release. Cutscenes are unskippable if you're seeing that cutscene for the first time though.

Crashes are still pretty common unfortunately, this is still early days for the port.

Or just replace them, but yeah that's what you need to do. Don't worry about the bk1 files if you copied that as well, those are simply backups of the original movie. In fact you could rename the bk1 files back to rmv files and it would work all the same.

Correct, no processing on them is needed anymore. It'll work with the original movie files.

Homebrew Homebrew game The Simpsons Hit & Run

Added a new version with support for the original cutscene files without conversions. You'll need to copy over the movies again to make sure cutscenes continue to work. It also adds the much-request invert camera option to the in-game settings menu. Remember to copy over the "art" folder from...

No worries there, the next release will likely not require you to do any conversion anymore. I will be explicitly mentioning in the changelog for 0.5 that you need to copy over the original movies again.

Sometimes I might update some UI assets that are included, so you definitely have to copy more than just the NRO.

You don't need to copy the entire installation folder again, just copy the new release to your Switch replacing the existing files.

I added a very early, very buggy, incomplete Vita port as a pre-release. You can play around with it, but it will be very slow until it is optimized further.

    Do you hate your life?

There are plenty of people who went on to have fulfilling lives without a diploma. It might seem important now and you're right that it's hard to find that first job without one, but once you've got some experience under your belt no one will ask about that diploma anymore. There are lots of...

    Do you hate your life?

You hate the choices you've made because you have a preconceived notion of what your life should've been, but there is no assurance that would've been your best life. You could be missing out on opportunities you don't even see because you're focused on the life you're not living. Try to be open...

Homebrew Homebrew game The Simpsons Hit & Run

Nope, the main reason for using the PC version assets is simply because that platform got the highest definition textures and didn't have a bunch of platform-specific pre-processing done on the models. Unfortunately the new executable is completely different from the original and it's even been...

Yeah it's a known issue, these are still early versions of the port.

Nope, you can even transfer save games from the PC, they're simply stored in the installation folder both on the Switch and on PC

Released a new version that should fix the issues in level 4 (Marge). Hopefully that means it's now possible to complete the game, although with some restarts if it leaks memory.
