    At least for me, an R4 user, yeah, it does. The button combination for real-time cheat disabling is L+R+Start+Down. L+R+Start+Up to enable the cheat. Be sure to enable the real-time option in the cheat menu, also, as it is not checked by default.

In a year, who is to say that the CycloDS or the AceKard won't be HEAVILY outmatched? For that, I don't really know how fair it is to use 'ditch'...
