Maybe there is some error in the filesystem on the SD card. To eliminate this possibility do the following:
1) Backup all the files from the SD card
2) Format the SD card with the panasonic SD card formatter
3) Restore all the files form the backup to the SD card
4) Try again
According to the changelog of Wood R4 1.33: "crc32 calculation added. start->tools->crc32. now all bug reports without crc32 of rom ignored." so I guess this problem will not be addressed.
With the CRC32 people can lookup if the ROM is okay, better than guessing ("It is not the rom or SD card...
According to the changelog of Wood R4 1.33: "crc32 calculation added. start->tools->crc32. now all bug reports without crc32 of rom ignored." so this problem will not be addressed. Besides that, the R4 DS forum has a "Wood R4 BUGS and Compatibility" topic, better use that instead.
YWG thanks again for the update! Keep up the good work!
Tip: if you use the online update feature remember that "savesize.bin" will not be updated. To complete the update download the 7z file, extract savesize.bin and replace the savesize.bin in the __rpg folder on the SD card.
I used Rudolph's "NDS Backup Tool FTPd" which has the advantage of using FTP so you can use an FTP client instead of "Netcat" or other transfer method. I use v0.11 where the DS acts as FTP server. In earlier versions the DS was a client and you need to setup a server at the PC side. Most saves...
Also remember that at least the DS and DSL only support WEP encryption (and no encryption of course). If you use WPA or WPA2 then the DS cannot connect. I am not sure if this also applies to the DSi and newer DS versions.
When I compare the __rpg map of an 1.35 version updated on 1.34 via online update with the __rpg map of the 1.35_v2 version on filetrip I find differences.
Of course the there are differences in the user settings but what bothers me is that the online updated version did not update...
Lol. OP only said it looks like Wood or Akaio. My guess it is WAIO (Wood All In One which is just YSMenu with Wood interface if I'm correct). That puts his card in the camp of hope less cards that can barely (or not) keep up with the latest games and only struggle along using libinfo releases by...
This doesn't make sense. First you say:
So what is it? Are they on the card or not. My bet is they are on the card. As previous posters already attempted to tell you the name of the save file and what R4 Wood expects do not concur. Assuming the most likely scenario:
You have a game with...
The normal procedure in these cases is executing the update using another working R4. It works like this.
- Use another working R4
- Put the firmware for your card on the SD card for the working R4
- Start the update using the working R4
- Just before the real update starts take out the working...
If I understood the OP correctly:
1) the card was updated to 1.4.2 and worked
2) your son started the update again and switched the DS off before it completed
Is that correct?
In that case the old firmware was (partially) erased or the new firmware is partially installed. Either way, the card...
Only thing drive me crazy is all these new horror games nowadays is its so dark, all time. I can't even play them. I understand they trying to create spooky but be creative a little, not just darkness with pop out scare scenes.
