ROM Hack Harvest Moon DS - Swedish Translation

Update: I've managed to figure out how to swap around different .sb script files in HMAWL. In AWL, the game makes use of CLZ compression. This means that certain files will need to be uncompressed, modified, then recompressed. I'm unsure if CLZ is utilized in HMDS, but hopefully these will...

ROM Hack Harvest Moon DS - Swedish Translation

The "RIFF ... SCR CODE" segment seems to indicate a script file in a Resource Interchange File Format container. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life contains several of these files (with the file extension .sb). It's presumed that these were used for testing purposes during development. I've...

    Hacking DARKCORP v1.1 Release!

I know this post is super old. But the old autoreply email ( [email protected] ) no longer works. A replacement for it is [email protected]

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Good to know I dont have to worry about priiloader. I have tried using alternative cIOSes with emunand (e.g. d2x b52 IOS250[57]) I do have it formatted to FAT32. Although it might be some sort of incompatibility with my drive, since I know some software doesn't work with all USBs (e.g. If I try...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Hey guys! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get CFG to load any emuNand channels. I dumped my nand using bootmii then extracted to a nand folder on my USB. I then removed priiloader from my emunand using this method. I have my emunand root located at USB:/nand I then installed...

Hacking cIOSCORP 4.0 & Region Free

Here's what you should do: Note: Make sure you installed 4.0 from Waninkoko's installer, or else you will loose the ability to install WADs. 1. Install the normal cIOS-cORP (made for 3.2). 2. Install cIOS60BF.wad (Google It!) 3. Install StarPatch (Google It!) and select update blocking and...

    Hacking GUI USB Loader

It would probably work best if they just inplemented the homebrew browser's gui, but instead of looking for folders in the apps folder, it would just look for files in a wbfs partition. Also, the person could post a certain sized picture (box art) as is done by the icon.png implementatin by the...

Hacking Bricked after installed Preloader0.28 on 4.0

Hold reset, launch HBC from preloader (if it freezes, get the homebrew launcher, put the dol in the root of the SD, and launch that), then launch cIOS Downgrader 1.2, and install menu 2.2 (u/e/j whatever your region). Then rerun the waninkoko 4.0 updater and don't use preloader. You can...

    Hacking StartPatchv4.0

First, has anyone tested the NTSC version? Also, there are 2 patches I would like to see in the near future: 1. No-Copy Flag Removal for Game Saves (Major one!) 2. Y-Button Rescue Menu (Not as big a deal because there's SaveMii-Free)

    Hacking CIOSCORP Installer

Region-Free patching could probably be applied like the update-blocking patch would be with the new installer. They both use similar methods of patching. Also, a copy-flag removal patch for save files would be nice too.

    Hacking CIOSCORP Installer

I found a LINK REMOVED, so this should be able to work on SysMenu 4.0, if you've updated with Waninkoko's installer. LINK REMOVED You may or may not have to install softmii or miiwii or something. Read more at my post at WADder. This has been untested. Could someone confirm if it works...

    GameCube Backup Launcher 0.1 Xi

Failed again The mupen64 dol file is larger than the original one in the iso so it won't work. I don't really have extensive knowledge of modifying GC ISO's either. I tried right-clicking the default.dol file and setting replace. I then switched it with the mupen64gc.dol but then it said...

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
