This has been mentioned a page or two ago and in several other threads.
ModMii downloads the old r304 whereas the latest committed version is r417.
r304 is a build from December of last year which is not compatible with the latest d2x cIOS versions.
Maybe next ModMii update we will see this...
corpuskiller,
where did you get your wiiflow boot.dol from? From ModMii? Then that is old version....
Download version r417 from here - rename r417.dol to boot.dol and replace the old one in your app folder.
That should fix some games freezing at start...
if you already did this, then ignore...
@Psyblade,
Yeah, I've used WBM's SHA-1 scan and MD5 scans, and they also take time depending on the amount of games being scanned. [tho 1 is faster]
This IS on-topic, as we are discussing ModMii's WBFS support and the possibility of some sort of wbfs2fat/wwt+wit integration into ModMii.
Yeah, it...
depending on how many games, the scan can take hours...
And isn't a problem with WBFS is that sometimes a game can overwrite sectors that belong to another game, thus making them bad...
Either way, wouldn't you need to scan the bad games and remove them before or after conversion?
I still use WBFS, and have pondered changing to fat32. There is a nice guide in the tutorials section for using wbfs2fat...
Seems it may be a little more involved than potentially running it from ModMii.
You would have to use Wiim's tools on the WBFS drive first to check for bad dumps, remove...
I had the same issue with wiifow not showing cIOS beyond 236 also... it was version r304 of wiiflow which froze on many games...
update to the latest committed build r417 should fix it [see wiiflowiki - for download].
You may want to head over to the ModMii thread and rehack your wii.... to fix...
sup again.
Seems I have that ModMii command window size issue that has been touched on a few pages back.
On one PC it runs fine. On the other pc, the window is not sized correctly and there are a few errors at the very top.
Here is copy/paste of the ModMii command window:
I've tried...
NLD1888, the USBLoaderCFG is now v70, perhaps your channel/forwardr is old?
About your MW3 issue and the Hackmii installer log:
MW3 probably runs on IOS 57 just like BlackOps and according to your log, there is no IOS57 present [57 is needed for some USB capabilities, i believe].
ALso, the...
Thanks for clearing that up Wever. I thought the newest cIOS would be needed by wiiflow for the using vc/WiiWare channels on an emulated nand. Just as GX will need it hopefully in next update.
But I will wait for final, no rush. Yes, I was reading the wiiflowiki. I'm only trying to get some...
Two questions:
I've just updated my Wii with ModMii since I haven't updated my cIOS in a few months [maybe a year or so].
I just tried out a few usbloaders: WiiFlow, CFG and GX. [Good to see dev continuing for GX loader, last time I used it, it was almost abondoned]...
Loading COD:BlackOps only...
..."dinosaur" lol
thanks for the info - it puts everything into a better perspective.
I previously had my usb set up with fat32/wbfs for using USBLoaderGX...
and recently made the switch from GX to config loader...
later, I used yer Modmii usbloader guide to set up another wii and was...
+1
I just used ModMii for the first few times this past week... Great work on this!!
I've been using different methods over the past few years to hard/soft mod a few wiis, and this is by far the most complete All-in-one soft-mod program ever.
I did a virgin 3.2U to 4.2U for USB loading in no...
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
for it tho. Edit- no it uses floppy Ram, just like @AncientBoi
