Homebrew Snes9xGX Mod [Preview + WiiUPro + ScreenShot button]

Check the other commit immediately before it (syncing msu-1 code to upstream), OV2's fix for fast-forward desync is in there, but there's still an issue specifically with fast forward during videos. It stays synced now, but if you ff during a video, it won't ever return to full speed, it drops...

Homebrew Snes9xGX Mod [Preview + WiiUPro + ScreenShot button]

Figured out the snapshot problem! The bug is that creating a snapshot changes the current directory in the filebrowser object (probably to the snapshot directory), so when you try to load the next MSU-1 related file, it looks for it in the wrong directory. Unfortunately, because the original...

Homebrew Snes9xGX Mod [Preview + WiiUPro + ScreenShot button]

Yeah, Chrono Trigger has been my primary litmus test. I'm hoping that the remaining skips are due to lag, and might be related to the fast-forward issue (basically, the MSU isn't handling lag *at all* which means if you fast forward repeatedly it gets way out of sync because it drops samples...

Cool, thanks for the feedback. Just need to figure out snapshots now. Sent from my m8wl using Tapatalk

Ok, I pushed 2 commits. There's still weird glitches in the audio that actually sounds like the channels are flipping. Weird, but at least now it's basically synced with upstream Snes9x, so further updates should be easier.

Homebrew Snes9xGX Mod [Preview + WiiUPro + ScreenShot button]

Grab it from my repo: https://github.com/qwertymodo/snes9xgx/tree/msu1 just give me a bit, something's broken and the Wiimote disconnects when I try to open a folder. I'm running a bisect now to try and figure out where the problem is. I also added .bps patch support just now, so you'll want...

Homebrew Snes9xGX Mod [Preview + WiiUPro + ScreenShot button]

Right now, we're trying to track down one remaining issue (fast-forward causes a desync), at which point you should probably just drop in the current main-line versions of msu1.h/cpp instead of trying to cherry-pick changes. I also just fixed a fairly significant memory leak upstream just now...

Homebrew Snes9xGX Mod [Preview + WiiUPro + ScreenShot button]

That's essentially an independent re-implementation of this fix I already made and completely forgot about. Derp :P The real issue was that when you request samples from the MSU-1 and it doesn't have any (song not playing, maybe other reasons I can't think of), it should still return the...

Non volatil game boy saves (done on Pokemon Yellow, but problem on Pokemon Gold)

Sorry, I hadn't really kept up on this thread so I missed that part. It sounds like what has to happen is to add the logic on the /CS pin. There's one option listed earlier in this thread, but the one once used instead on SNES games instead is CS_OUT = CS OR (RD AND WR) which can also be done...

Non volatil game boy saves (done on Pokemon Yellow, but problem on Pokemon Gold)

I never got around to debugging the GS glitching (unless it was just the RTC, in which case you can still swap the RAM, just keep the battery too, if it dies the clock stops but you won't lose your save). What I CAN say for sure is that Gen 1 works. Sent from my m8wl using Tapatalk

It's not normal, but those crashes are definitely related. Snapshot inside of a movie should work just fine (it's literally just the data seek pointer, along with VRAM and DMA state, both of which are standard parts of the system that must already be working or all snapshots would be broken). If...

Homebrew Snes9xGX Mod [Preview + WiiUPro + ScreenShot button]

Actually, it's more than that. Open MSU-1 game, take snapshot, close menu, continue playing. MSU-1 is gone as soon as you try to load any other track. I'm starting to suspect it's something screwy in the menu code, not in the MSU-1 code at all. Like calling an extra reset or something like...

Homebrew Snes9xGX Mod [Preview + WiiUPro + ScreenShot button]

Something is really screwy. Try opening an MSU-1 game, taking a snapshot, then resetting by hitting the Home button and selecting reset. The game resets without MSU-1. My best guess is that either there is some weird bug in devKitPPC with closing and quickly reopening a file, or else it's...

Hmm... can you do me a favor and exit out of the emulator completely before trying to load the snapshot? It might actually be a file locking issue.

I just tried it myself with Chrono Trigger and it worked. I don't know what to tell you. The changes are definitely there, I linked you directly to them in my last comment. Edit: And then as soon as I say that, I went back and tried it again and it didn't work. wth... -_-
