its said on the title its an old 3DS with cfw. Please understand that the reader is brand new. So its not an hardware issue. Everything its connected perfectly. My old problem has been resovled by simply replace the entire reader :)

its not an hardware problem. all pins and ribbons are perfectly fine, as you can see by the pictures. everytime i plug an SD card it says: "Cannot display the software on the SD Card. The SD Card could not be accessed." No dust, dirt or something has been found.

My old CFW N3DS wont boot up with SD card (but does without it)

i changed the card reader because simply it didnt work anymore. When you have a bad card reader it cannot recognize the position of the locking pin so basically if you insert an SD and you have a bad reader it keeps saying that the SD is write protected and can't be read (even if it's not). I...

i have an update: Before i said that the 3DS wont boot with any SD on it, now it does. The 3DS boots with SD in it, try to loads it but fails. I can go both Luma3DS and GodMode9 with the SD in it ( i tried mounting the SD with G9 but it fails). I tried putting Luma files but fails to read the...

My old CFW N3DS wont boot up with SD card (but does without it)

its really not the sd card reader, i replaced it some months ago, if it was the card reader the error was like "the card has write protection on".

When i power on my N3DS with the SD IN (even if the SD has NO FILEs in it), the blue light powers on and then slowly fades away, i cant acces to g9 neither Luma3DS, and no further error is displayed. When i power it without SD simply goes into the home menu, and yes i can go to Luma3DS and the...

no bro i didnt use it for about a month. Its not a reader issue because it always worked very fine. I really think this problem occured since the Nintendo has been hacked.

My old CFW N3DS wont boot up with SD card (but does without it)

i will check for errors with h2testw, but keep in mind that i tried multiple SDs (even without adaptor), all formatted to FAT32, and simply the Nintendo can't read them, and can't create a Nintendo folder on them. Its not the SD reader itself, i think this problem occurred since the Nintendo has...
