If it is like a wave effect - you probably want a threaded build (if your into living on the wild side). The stable build I don't believe has been optimized to fix that yet - believe this is because of audio and video on the same thread (on the non-threaded stable build).
SD Card > X:\Switch + HBL + Folder with EMU + Roms folder > Jig > RCM > Hekate > Album > Boot EMU
Edit: SD Card Files should have the structure built for you along with a HBL Build in there.... you can get one with a touch interface as well - just load the files on the SD Card no magic needed.
It really was just a PoC - someone was trying to port it and he fixed the code to pass the build phase.... there aren't plans to add audio to beetle-psx (or optimization) afaik (initial post about it)
Some unique things I've noticed with the latest threaded build with stretched screen (5.0.2)
Obviously my first one about HI-Res mode "fixed"
Enjoying the cfg load default and save (I know this isn't new I just never realized if you loaded the one in the folder it would overwrite)
Enabling...
No Problem - I've been around the block on these things from the PSP days and XBOX (OG)
BTW - Deleted retroarch.cfg - Threading ON VSync ON: There are audio crackles... which is odd (Chrono Trigger (U) was testing ROM)
Steps done
Deleted CFG
Booted NRO
Settings > Video > Toggled Threaded ON...
I am just posting this because after 50min of testing I am not wasting this data lol
Tests done on Handheld mode - 5.0.2
Tales of Phantasia Test (Pushed A one time to get to title screen)
Threaded w/ VSync Off
Lasts before crash : 5:36min and 1:28min then error 2345-0021
Unthreaded (like...
Ok I didn't edit my post.... but here are the results
------------------------------
Tests done on Handheld mode - 5.0.2
Chrono Trigger Test
Threaded w/ VSync Off
Lasts before crash : 3:46min and 5:14min then error 2345-0021
Unthreaded (like unleaded gas) w/ VSync Off
Lasts before crash ...
Hmm something is up with this latest threading build - Threading on Vsync off - back to back lockups (2345-0021) while idling (Chrono Trigger (U) and Final Fantasy II (U))
I will duplicate the tests with threading off... - will post another post with results
VR had the chance to integrate with existing games and tech but VR companies said "NO, I WANT MY SHIT TO BE STANDALONE AND MY GAMES EXCLUSIVE TO FACEBOOK"
Back when Oculus Rift was still starting out and being demoed around, they modded existing games to use it as a 360° immersive screen thing and that was AMAZING.
The tech isn't there for affordable power enough VR headsets at a good market value yet sadly, oculus had a good idea but didn't have enough funds for marketing iirc
But now it's "can I use my VR set with my racing games, that would be neat?" "ONLY IF YOU USE OUR DILDOSTICK CONTROLLERS AND RUN THE GAME ON OUR ANDROID-UNDERPOWERED BRICK"
These are the same type of gamers that spend $2,000 on a GPU when a $600 GPU gives nearly the same outcome which is what the market looks at for them to do spend more on unneeded bs
