It's worth mentioning that there is already ThirdTube homebrew for watching YouTube videos, and it works really well.

Red Viper v0.9.1 Featuring fixes for the random crashes in T&E Soft's games (Red Alarm, 3D Tetris, Golf) and various QOL fixes, including 3D depth slider support. Full changelog is on the download page.

So 3D depth adjustment was possible after all?

I could only imagine Nintendo's diehard anti-emulation fanboys would be happy about this, given how much of them have been brainwashed into thinking "EmUlAtIoN bAd, $1000 FoR uSeD gAmE oN eBaY gOoD." I remember one of my classmates was emulating...

OMG, I remember having a similar experience a long time ago. Memories to last a lifetime.

This has to be an attempt to stall and bankrupt them with lawyer costs. Because legally they have no case. The encryption mode in the ROMs, and in general in other DRM'd media, can be decrypted using freeware tools. Yuzu is doing nothing unusual...

The difference in views between the emulation community and normal gamers is interesting. I mean the top comment on this ign article covering this is essentialy happy about the lawsuit...

Sorry, but what you probably mean with "normal gamers" really is "people brainwashed by corporations". I bet there are a lot of "normal gamers" that don't support Nintendo and wouldn't accept the attacks on ownership modern corporations are doing.

I don't believe so, but Yuzu does lock Early Access builds behind a paywall. Ryujinx seems to only give Discord benefits in their Patreon.

Here’s the thing, they aren’t distributing the keys and requires the user to dump their own keys. Nintendo is literally suing them because the user has to dump (or obtain) the keys themselves to decrypt the game. The issue, it’s been determined...

I agree that some of the points seem to be overdramatization, I actually think this case won't be too relevant for emulation since it seems like there are too many precedents for emulation being legal (not a lawyer, so don't trust me of course)...

Ive read the entire document. They want 2.5k for each violation of anti-piracy circumvention and 150k for each copyright act violation. They throw multiple numbers around but mention that TOTK has been downloaded and played over a milllion times...

Worth mentioning that Bleem! was literally on store shelves. This isn’t an argument in their favour, and they know that, which is why their wording is purposefully evasive.

Nintendo is going after the development team of an emulator. A legal case was filed by Nintendo yesterday, alleging that the Nintendo Switch emulator, Yuzu, has caused damages to the company by allowing for its games to be played illegally before...

I always thought Patreon for emulators does more damage than good, this is one of the reasons why I think so. I'm not against emulator developers getting money for their work (donations in FOSS are nothing new), but it seems like more conflicts...
