    Then you should be getting 5v on pin 18 since tps2553 outputs the 5v. It could be a bad encoder. Have you tried safe mode?

    If you remove the ssd controller and the the short to ground is gone then it's the ssd controller causing the short no? What is the resistance to ground with the ssd controller installed?

    I doubt you have any shorts on the board since it boots. Have you tried another usb stick? Bad memory can cause this issue.

    Did you thoroughly clean out the flux and ipa from under the SB? Usually when it hangs after installing a known good working SB it was the flux and ipa under the SB (on the solder balls) that's messing with the crystal oscillator causing it to hang. I would heat up the sb area then flush ipa...

    I had one that had the same error crash code whenever in game for 5 min or so. Uart doesn't show any errors from game crashes for this. Unfortunately I haven't been able to fix these, seems like apu / ram / on board ssd related.

    You have a general power failure somewhere, could also be ram. These are hard to fix if you don't find any obvious shorts.

    Check initialization current when applying 12v.

    Your 5v current limiter IC is blown. You need to replace it with a TPS2553DDBVR. This IC regulates 5v on pin 18.
