    Should have specified. I have a xbox one s, so the hard drive isn't below the disc drive. They talk about fit of the 5tb in the xbox one x in this video, and in the original xbox one in this video. Anyone tried it in the one s?

    Is there plenty of physical room for the 5tb drive? It's 15mm tall where as the one that comes in the console is only 9.5mm.

    I bought a refurbished 2tb WD My Book for ebay for $65. I wanted an externally powered 2tb drive (the largest the wii u supports), but seagate and WD only make 3tb now. I didn't want to bother with an enclosure. Might be overkill, but now I will never have to worry about space.

    Like you said there is no crystal ball but before (if ever) a later firmware is hacked. The 4.5 3ds will only become more rare and fetch a good price online.
