Is there any advantage in installing the mario kart channel apart from you not having to put the disk in to check the scorecard, etc, and do you get the same options to see everything on the channel when u do have the disk in but you don't install the channel? Hacking Mario Galaxy iso to update
Im trying to update my PAL wii to run galaxy. I have a 3.1E PAL Wii with Wiikey ver 1.9g installed. Iv'e burned a clean iso of mario but when i try to run the update of it, it starts to update the wii for abt 8 to 10% & then suddenly it stops & says that update was unsuccesful & it then resets...- din75

Everything works apart from the game which comes up with disk read error in a blue box. what i need to know is what size is the 1.9g wiikey firmware disk once its burnt onto a dvd. is it 40mb or 1.4gb or 1.7gb?- din75

Could someone please tell me how big the 1.9g wiikey update disk size is once it is burnt onto a dvd? I keep getting a file size of abt 40mb but i have heard that it is supposed to be abt 1.4GB or 1.7GB (same size as a gamecube disk). i have now tried to run a clean galaxy iso too updat, but when i run it it starts the update & when it gets to about 10% it automatically stops & says the same thing that the updat failed. If i try to run this again it then only gets to abt 5 or 6%. So i am still having the same problem. anyone...- din75

Hacking Do you patch the mario galaxy update disk?
I have a PAL Wii with WiiKey. Have updated to 3.1E firmware on the Wii & the Wiikey to 1.9g. I've then used the 1.3 wiikey setup disk to enable regionfree & have then patched the mario galaxy iso from USA to PAL. I think my problem might be beacause I have a PAL Wii & the first ISO burnt that is used to do the update I used regionfrii on it to change it from USA to PAL, thats why i think it stops at 5 or 6% & doesnt let me update. oh my god it works now! thanks mate... i someone stated that the image burnt bes at 1.4gb so everytime i burnt it & it ended up as 40 mb i thought it wouldnt work! teaches me a lesson for next time! thanks again everyone for your replies & my apologies for my mistake- din75
