Cleaning out box of old ds stuff and found this card...I have tried SuperR4i_v1.20_English firmware on it and it does not auto load , it only loads when I press a then when I chose game it sticks on black loading screen.
Tried a couple of R4i firmwares but they wont load at all...
What firmware...
I mean on reverse of board theres PWSW, red ,orange ,green. pads...also tried soldering pin1 on switch to original pin 1 on board but did not turn on...so at a bit of a loss
Ok so managed to connect pin 1 to orange and have tried pin 2 to ground and also tried pin 4 to ground and with both as soon as I put in battery ds turns on but when I push switch up to turn off it stays on...How do I get it to turn of again without pulling battery?
Oh well looks like it is totally mucked up now pads 2 and 4 gone...Have another new power switch,Is there any way I can connect it so ds powers on and off with switch...where to solder?

what layout do I need for ys menu or twilight menu...as kinda like the look of them better...also does wood work on this cart?
sorry but kinda new to this as just picked up ds lite for granddaughter
I have one of these fakes and have installed M3Adaptes_English.zip on it everything works but it's very outdated anyone managed to install a better firmware on this fake card?
I only burnt out one pad, It's the one in picture with arrow pointing to it and a + below it, a 3 above it and R12 to the right
of it and the black circle round it . Is there a via point for this pad please...Thanks
I managed to burn out the power point pad arrowed in picture on my DS Lite that point is now black. I have a new power switch arriving in a couple of days, will it work if I just solder it straight in, or will I need to solder an that pad to an alternative point?
will give it a go but cant use parts from other wii as that is a fully working wii...
update I had a look at tear down wii videos and it looks like you have to take of heatsink etc to get motherboard off.
So decided not to try as may cause more problems or even make wii not work.. At least wii...
have stripped down a wii before but only as far as checking dvd drive...would probably have to take out the motherboard and check reverse side for loose wire/solder joint etc
Tried another fron panel and another power supply from my second wii and still no luck. Even while front panel is of the power led on wii motherboard next to power button should still light up red when I plug in power cord to wii, but it does not...strange as wii works perfect otherwise.
My softmodded wii powers on but does not have any front led lights, no red, green etc...I turned wii of took out power cord then took of front panel to look and when I reinsert power cord to back of wii the led on motherboard does not turn on...
But I can still turn wii on and play from usb etc...
Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
