Hello there, So basically I got my Wii Balance Board to play today and notice the batteries were corroded, so I decide to clean it with just a q-tip, nothing. Sony PS3 Disc Drive help
I think I knew my problem, the ribbon cable on the bottom of the PS3 isn't connected and I cannot seem to try and connect it. its a real hassle. Any tips?- abda

I recently gotten a PS3 with a broken disc drive, I replaced it with my disc drive and when I run a disc. It tries for 3-4 times then it just gives up and stops. There are no signs of it being read in the PlayStation.- abda

Homebrew PS1/2 Launching into Free HDD Boot and it instantly freezes?
I recently got my PS2, installed everything perfectly. But when I opened my PS2. It boots up into Free McBoot then instantly then the dots appear, it freezes and I can hear the wave music. Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.+1

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.+1
The issue is DRM -

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
