[Question] Can somewhane help me to compile this .nds homebrew game?

I get the same error.Is there a fix for it?
This means there is a problem with the wad file. Try running wadgen again. Make sure the process is done completely and closed. And make sure the wad is copied fully and the card ejected properly so that it writes fully to the sd card.

(Sorry for putting so many questions,I am very excited I thought Doom64 is an Impossible port)

What Doom64 version I should use with WadGen the Europe or the USA version?

just checked the game on twilight menu++. it works there as well, so something must've gotten messed up the first time for some reason.

think I figured out the issue with it not working for the op. he downloaded the corrupted version, which is 399KBs. the new one is 400KBs. he said it worked. :D

hi friends, i have a problem with unrecognized wad files too. I tried several US versions, I also tried HBmenu 4.1 and 7.1 May I still get the same error message, however my wad file is in the same directory as the nds file, to conclude, the installation on the root of my sd did not give anything more ... If anyone has an idea, I am interested, thank you in advance

Sorry, no help but having done exactly the same and still getting the same error.
I just need to copy the .wad from wadgen and not the .sf2 file ?

yes, just copy doom64.wad. make sure wadgen is completed and says it was successful. I want to say the file will exist if you use a bad rom with wadgen, but it wont actually work - as the error means wadgen aborted before it finished fully createing the file.

I think the problem is the wad people are using. should say iwad at the beginning in hex and obviously not be corrupted.

btw, I wasn't sure if you minded I compile it or if you wanted to do it yourself. I used devkitpro to compile/have the commands for compiling nds, and either visual studio code or visual studio 2019 for making changes to the code. I have both as well as visual studio 2015, because some very old stuff doesn't compile with the newer versions. considering the age of the project and the fact that it has a project and sln file as part of it, I think it was coded in either visual studio 2013 or 2015. probably the former actually considering it's about 8 years old. you get a 30 day evaluation with it, then to have full control, you need a microsoft account. just sign in with it in visual studio once those 30 days are up.

For me, the .nds runs and recognizes the .wads I get from wadgen when I use .z64 roms from the internet. I get into the opening logos, settings, and difficulty select just fine, but when I select a difficulty I get this error. I tried updating to the latest r4 firmware and using a couple different roms that worked with wadgen but got this error every time. Is there some other loader I should be using?
