Hacking SX OS begins to be cracked

Honestly didn't even know that existed. I just looked at the license verification website (sxos-license.html) and figured stuff out from there

So I don't know if this is helpful to anybody but I wrote a little script that randomly generates license key-lookalikes in an attempt that one of them is successful and grants access to a real license.dat file. Replace the licenseRequest-variable with the hex value of your licenseRequest.dat file (marked in the image attached to this post) stitched together (i.e. no spaces, just one long string)

Assuming license keys are individually marked as valid as they're generated on purchase, the (incredibly unlikely) possibility of getting a valid key verified means that you'd just have effectively hijacked a paying customer's key.

Don't get me wrong, though; it'd be cruel, but it'd also be kind of funny.

Agreed; getting to a free version of SX OS by using other means would probably be better. I've personally already marked this off as "the most unethical piece of code I am ever going to write". If you want to try to grab a key this way, feel free to do so. Otherwise, I agree with you to just wait it out.
