This was inevitable with such a hot scene. I don't think that will be too big of an issue unless it starts spats, the bigger problem is that there's a hardbreak on interest due to 3.0.1.
You're probably right. I'm probably only concerned because I was familiar with the Minecraft mod developer scene for some time. There these things happen, almost everytime when a new major release of MC is released.
A lot people have moved on and we're going to be short on newblood from this point forward. Either you already had a compliant switch and are in the scene, or you didn't and aren't.
That's indeed a problem, but the Switch isn't reserved engineered enough for any kind of (for end users interesting) homebrew. Therefore the scene is going to be developers only and small for quite a while, while the trend of updating users continues. In the end there are probably still unexplored exploits out there, which will be explored and used to make Switch homebrew available to the masses, when the time is ready(remember when smea released tubehax, ironhax), no software is perfect.

Might be some standards issues, I know a lot were working on libnx and developing their own things, so we might run into some major redundancy issues. Only time will tell.

The white hats will tend to make this difficult in the long run. Nintendo was very smart in getting that program up and running. It will be a cat and mouse game on firmware (on the assumption that major holes are found), but that was obvious ever since HackerOne launched but the fact that it has had so many (and some very important) submissions means it took off well and their engineers responded well.

But I also don't know how many will be interested in pursuing higher firmware. If you have no interest in piracy and are actually in it for homebrew, 3.0.0 is enough. This will splinter the scene further since there *are* those who are trying to get flash carts up and running for their rackets.

Now where are all those numbnuts from the "SCREW IT I'M UPDATUING!" blog at :tpi:
I'd rather have the Switch for what I payed $300+ for, and not just have it sitting their limited to old features and games because of Homebrew.

I have a $39 Amazon Fire that serves very well for emulation, games, etc and even runs Wii games at 20-30fps.

just rent the game if there still some places around you for that :P

Damn, I don't know about that as rentals died in the USA about a decade ago... It sounds like Rohan 3.0.0 is where development is headed so pokken is the only choice... But It if I can charge $5 for anyone who wants to use pokken for a quick second to update I can get my money back quickly

Dbz had too many technical flaws to even consider buying, plus the resell\trade value for pokken will stay steady in comparison to dbz
I have both games, quality wise both are meh.I'm enjoying DBX2 more though also it's $10 cheaper
