Super Luigi Maker for 3DS

SuperLuigiMaker.png

A project that turns Super Mario Maker 3DS into...Super Luigi Maker 3DS!

This works with Luma's LayeredFS just fine

SD/Luma/titles/TITLEID here/romfs for example SD/Luma/titles/00040000001a0500/romfs is for the eur version just place the files into the romfs directory also rename the models folder to model then everything should load just fine!

But as it is I feel like it's suitable for release please note this isn't finished yet

Now with bottom screen!!!!

Also if someone can find the Mario that is used in the 100 man Mario challenge mode that would be great.

Here's a few videos of it in action

In order to use this you must dump the game and then place the files into the correct folder the RAR is already correct then you must rebuild the CIA and there you go if you need a tutorial on how to do that just use google the first result is the one you want.

This is stop people assuming @Traiver has just uploaded this without permission hell I asked him to upload it to that ISO site.

Before I get told Mario 1 Luigi is wrong it's not

Hmm... off the wall idea but... would it be possible to take the super Mario character sprite and swap with nsmb character sprite? From what I heard the game no matter what mode is based entirely of sprites including Mario. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible but what do I know. Sorry for the slightly of topic question.

It's possible plus NSMBU Mario isn't a sprite it's a model but it's pretty pointless changing the model since it wouldn't make a single difference and before you ask about Luigi someone has already tried changing the model and it broke the animations for the model

a good place to look is spriters resource

Oh that's the first thing I did it required a custom sprite for the victory pose since the shell sprite for victory poses in SMW are on the sprite

When you do upload a CIA please make a changed TitleID version. It doesn't affect going online :3

Are you sure I don't want people getting banned for a mod I've made.

Yes, if there is 2 version (one changed, and the other not.) people can choose whether they want to take the "risk" if there is one at all. It's just changing a line in a Hex editor.

That someone was me, the reason the animations broke is that Luigi is taller than Mario, so the bones will have to be repositioned in order for the animations to work.

I'm not aware of a way to reposition the bones.

I wonder why LayeredFS freezes. The LayeredFS for Mario Kart 7 that makes it into CTGP-7 has a ton of changes, yet works just fine.

It may be due to the fact it's a high memory game just like Sun/Moon there will be some CIA releases soon anyway with a new title ID so it wouldn't install right over Super Mario Maker.

Nope it's a high memory game like I've already said HANS doesn't work with high memory games if my memory serves me correctly.

Certain games need to run with more RAM than others. Notably included are titles like Smash Bros, Pokemon S/M, and Mario Maker for 3DS. These titles reboot into a special 3DS mode when run, to give the games more RAM access than a standard game. This is known as "extended memory mode"

These games don't run with HANS on an old 3DS, not because of their file size, but because the extended memory mode doesn't work with HANS.
