i'm always searching a link to a thread to be notified of 3d models importing but i don't find it (nwplayer said to me that it's a work on progress by some people but (he or she, i don't know his/her gender XD) isn't working on it)

So far, there's only one I know of and it's Bill's Hat Jigglypuff by RandomTalkingBush... It's probably a bit difficult converting models to Namco's proprietary model types.

So yesterday i tried to dump ssb4 but then after this file comes up "dummy_content.txt" the game keeps going as normal and the dumper stops dumping

However, i cannot find a folder or something like that which haves the files...Any help please?

Did i had to make a "vol/ content" folder?

Here's how i created this folder:

Wii U > vol > Game

Try re-dumping over your existing dump. It can take a few tries to get a complete and proper dump, but it's possible to dump on top of a partial to get a whole dump.

Alright, I'm at my wits end here. I've added about... maybe 30-40 songs, and a decent amount of character textures. Everytime I boot up, it just freezes on me and gives me an error code. I have no idea what's going on. Before this, I couldn't add stages either.

Hi, I have a question about changing texture ids and whether I'm doing it correctly. So, I have three costume slots that share the same model.nud files (to add brunette hair for zss). I think I successfully changed (received the success message after running the bat file) the text id for all of the files between 1-16 as I have 16 different costumes. However, these three will still show up as the same costumes when selected together. Is this because I made an error with the texture ids or because the model.nuds are shared or possibly a combination of the two? This isn't too much of an issue, but it can get confusing when playing dittos as the game can no longer make one a bit darker to distinguish between the two

Where did you tell the dumper to dump to? It should have had you specify an output directory...

I followed this guide. I managed to get custom songs working.
But if I try to use the mod pack that's on that guide, or the Googie's mod pack, the game get's stuck on a black screen when launching.

What did I do wrong?

What version of the game do you have? My mod pack is for the US version...

so I'm trying to get sonicbrawler's shadow mod to work


I did everything, following sonicbrawler's guides and guides about adding costume slots, but when I go to the chracter select screen in-game, the game loads infinitely. I tried the entire day getting ths to work. what am I doing wrong?

So you're stuck at the character select screen and it freezes, correct? You probably input some values wrong on the ui_character_db.bin file (sonic is entry 35, but the value in spot 6 should say 34) or have the chr_13 files in the wrong spot.

thanks, I also tried adding a wolf mod to fox and then I discovered I edited the wrong entry in the character_db_bin file. I'm gonna try this soon, thanks a lot if it works

edit: edited the 10th (I'm pretty sure this is fox's entry) entry in both the first data folder and the one of my region and it still doesn't work

edit: it doesn't save the changes made to the character_db_ui

you save it from parameters.exe under file at the top.

I've never used the CSS editor, if everything else looks fine and there's no character files out of place, I'd assume something happened there.

I'm not sure, I know that when I had a similar issue, it was because one of my chr_13 files was corrupted and I had to delete it. Another time, I couldn't get past the loading screen and saw that some of my chr files were in the wrong folders or outside the folder entirely and I removed them and that worked. I'd suggest cleaning out files a few at a time and see if that changes anything. If it doesn't, I don't think you have any option than to delete everything from your workspace folder and start over :/.

I just deleted everything except for the changes I made in sm4shmusic is that fine?

fortunately the only mod I downloaded before starting with shadow was kth's super sonic

I doubt it was the character portrait itself, since those don't seem to load until you actually select the costume on the CSS. I've put in the wolf costume myself and it worked fine.

Sm4shMusic should work fine regardless.

I re-added super sonic along with 3 mewtwo mods, I replaced an existing costume instead of adding a new one in all cases, they all work and the character select screen successfully loads

I'm gonna try adding shadow and wolf again later or tomorrow
