Just met a buyer for my laptop, something doesnt seem right

So yea, I just met a buyer for my laptop
i asked for 1300$, he started laughing.
he tells me he found the exact same laptop on kijiji for 1000$ and 1050$
2 offers
I asked him to show me, they were there
he offered me 800$
I declined immediatly, it was ridiculous
now hes gone, so I tryed to find the 2 offer on kijiji, couldnt find them at all

Now I'm recontacting him, to get the link, he doesnt seem like he want to share
I think he made fake ads from a fraud site
Now hes saying hes going to meet the other buyer
that hes gonna send me pic of the computer he will see next

sounds like a fraud right?

@ry755 actually, he did show them to me
he said they were on kijiji
but now hes gone, I look for those ads on lkijiji, cant find them

you are crazy, he was so mad that you where a bad seller he just bough both computers from the other sellers.

yeah, if the guy showed the thing IN HIS PHONE\DEVICE HE HAS TOTAL CONTROLL or the listing was like 1 day before he contacted you, don't fall for it.
do your own research. and don't ever trust a seller\buyer in the internet, always protect yourself.

PS: a page can be easily edited with a script, or what he did show to you could had been an edited picture.. you know the deal
sometimes they can go as far as create a fake website in their computer and give you that phishing link lol

when I tryed to sell my ps4, peoples tried to fraud me too
they said they were paying through paypal, so i said ok no problem
i did receive the email from paypal, saying the transaction has been made
but when I went on my paypal account, nothing
so I examined a bit more the email
it was coming from a site name Accountent
i searched for it on google
that site was listed as a site frequently used by frauds

just to be clear, kijiji is a legit site, it's owned by ebay, and I've bought numerous (rather expensive....) thing from there in the past, like my "new" phone, and my GTX 980 TI

i assume you're talking about a fraud site designed to imitate kijiji yes?

dude, thoose buyers where legit. they totally send you the money trough paypal secret money service, which is a hidden secret way of sending money, it's hidden in your account and it was sent from a different email so FBI and IRS can't find this secret paypal wallet.. if you get arrested and fbi checks the emails they will think its a phishing scam, but the truth is, the money is hidden in a secret stash which paypal will deny having, even paypal will tell you it was a phishing scam so they can't be shutdown by fbi from dealing with this secret underground wallet system

Dude. He was bargaining for 800, and you spat on it.
It's still a lot of money for a laptop, and those decrease very quick on value.

If I were him, I would have done the same, just so I could get the laptop cheaper.

Are you seriously thinking someone would pay the full price on used products?

I mean come one. Who would spend time making fake ads just to "fraud"? This is very unlikely it happened.

Heck, getting maybe 500 for your laptop would have been luck already.

it honestly depends on the laptop, some people sell used 2013 macbook pros for near full retail price and it's disgusting

the component are almost all still lastgen
im asking 1300$ just for bargaining a bit
