That is true, But first song I heard from the stones when I was young was sympathy for the devil.
Stuff we hear in our childhood gets imprinted in our minds that no new music we hear in our adulthood can (well, most music any way), so i understand you feeling/having a soft spot for that album and deservedly so imo. Cheers!

On another note, have you heard Hackney Diamonds? I thought it was pretty good, better than anything they've released in the past 3 decades (or more) imho

I have and I would agree with that, probably one of the best stones records I have heard out of the past few decades.

Also IMO I feel like once brian jones passed a certain unique sound the stones had going in the sixties was gone. Just given how many instruments he played.
