Hi, I have a problem that someone here might be able to solve. I am attempting to run Newer Super Mario Bros. DS on my DSi system via SD card. I have several other homebrew/hack titles, so I know that the homebrew menu on my DSi is functional. What I'm getting at is that whenever I try to run NSMB, I am met with a solid white screen. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

you can just buy an r4 clone for under 10$ put the game there and baam physical release you can print your sticker and cover very easily.
It's not the same, but anyone should refrain from buying knock-off games that are either romhacks/translations. They're making money out of someone else's work, which isn't even meant to be sold. Only reason I'd understand that would be if it's an old game, and really cheap, but even then,it's pretty disrespectful to the creator of the romhack/translation.

I agree, but ROM hacks released on cartridges usually don't make you pay for the game itself (which you can still download for free), but the manufacturing and shipping costs of the cart itself.

Ok so I finally finished the game today after days of hard work..

I have 2 stars on my save files, 1 guess for completing the game and 1 for 99 lives ?

Would anybody know how I can get 5 shiny stars on this ?

TIA

It's been a while, but as I recall, you get one star for completing the game, another star for completing all levels and finding all exits, and a third star for finding and spending all star coins.

thank you....

I defo completed it 100% - found all exits as well, pretty sure I spent all star coins, guess I'll need to check on that though

So there's just 3 stars for the save file ?

Playing it on my N3DS with cia forwarder

Totally love the game, far better than nsmb and even nsmb2

Awesome game which I spent a lot of hours swearing and screaming at to complete :rofl2:
yeah i played it on 3ds too, THIS should've been the sequel to nsmb. Nsmb2 isn't bad by any means but seeing gold coins everywhere gets repetitive and annoying.

RG Cube is going to be good for ps2 if it's $100

@BigOnYa, and since the default emulator is below average i downloaded some "replacements" like snes9x for snes games for example

And I also have my ps3

Yea ps3 is a beast still to today compared to most "sticks"

If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.
