Where mkmd5sum.sh is a custom Bash script (not found online). Right now rsync is running.

You are going into the correct direction.
This is supposed to become a full backup of my audio book/audio drama collection.

Later I plan to backup everything. If only M-DISC BDXL weren't that expensive I would prefer the large discs.

Sorry for late reply. Monitoring the Windows 10 PC and checking the discs after becoming ready.
It will take some days to verify all of them (and simulate the recovery in case of disaster).
