FOR USERS THAT ARE USING BOTH SD AND USB DEVICES, CHECK HOW TO KNOW WHERE THIS FILE NEEDS TO GO:

Method 1: Download the controllers.zip archive directly from Nintendont on your console, then exit the loader and insert both devices into your pc. If a folder called “controllers” (without the quotes) is generated in the root of your as card, extract the file into that directory. Same applies to USB devices.

Method 2: If your Nintendont loader is located in your SD card, extract the file to SD:controllers. If it is on a USB device, extract it to USB controllers.
(If the specified directory does not exist, create it).

When you know where the file needs to go, you should have something like SD:controllers/0079_18D2.ini or USB:controllers/0079/18D2.ini.
If you ended with something like
SD:controllers/0079_18D2.rar or USB:controllers/0079_18D2.rar, then you did not extract the file.
