So, a user couldn’t register on this site. That means this site sucks? Sounds more like user error than a postmaster issue. Zeur should time travel back to start registration again.

Me zeroth tried the registration form. When that complained about a
CAPTCHA that just wasn't there, me naturally sent mail to your
webmaster. That message bounced with a vague error, so me decided to
inquire w/ your postmaster what's going on. However, even that
message to your postmaster bounced, w/ the same vague error!

If there's one working address that's absolutely required for any
Internet host, it's postmaster. RFCs before the one me referred to
treat it as a given, but as it turns out, it took until RFC1173 for
the requirement for the postmaster addy to be finally codified.

Of course, the "distract from the problem" and "kangaroo logic"
(apologies to actual 'roos) squads have jumped to the rescue. How
reassuring..."

@slaphappygamer: zeur here (since we're working on the problem me's
facing, me'd better respond directly methinks).

Me has no "ad/popup blocker" -- nothing of the sort, really --, and our
e-mail provider is rock-solid, thank you. (Only last week me pointed
them to an obscure problem that would bite almost no-one and they
overloaded me w/ thanks for spotting it!)

Me'll quote the baffling parts of the bounces:

"Access denied." is the kind of error me'd associate w/ a movie like
Wargames -- me normally never sees it otherwise. Either way, it's very
uninformative. (Normal errors include "No such user"; idiosyncratic
errors include "Not a card punch." (don't ask me to explain that one
8)7).)

This enough information for you?

EDIT: removed the useless pot lining tags 'cause the addies aren't
private (had to replace the `at' character w/ ' AT ' for that.)

"captcha isn't there" makes me think script blocker. If not that, then maybe the site is just configured to not allow zeur.

zeur here still. There's no script blocker (compared to most lusers,
me's very careful in how me sets things up), so that would seem to leave
the second possibility.

Pity.

Try to clear your browsers cookies and cache? You should probably PM a mod directly. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Staff”. You can see who is available.

Maybe his ISP is blocking for some reason, like you're at work or school, and this site is blacklisted.

enough hints that giving me luser tech support isn't going to help here?
(Me's the kind of guy who ends up giving his ISP tech support instead.)

Mind you, as it stands, gbatemp.net. is not even a valid Internet host!
(No postmaster, and have a look at the WHOIS data: largely forged &
what's not forged is incomplete on crucial points.)

Do what that information what you will. But don't be surprised if ISPs
indeed do find the above reason to block you folks.

of how things work) is quite appreciated among the people who make these
little interwebs of yours run.
