Interresting. I tried to google some images of the disc and while it's hard to see I don't think there's any data track on it. Now when you look on any Wii U disc you'll notice a barcode - the so called BCA (...
@query9999 With alternative method you mean replacing the eMMC chip with an SD card? If so just removing the /minute/rednand.ini file you created when setting this up should be enough. Then solder the PCB (or microSD to SD adapter) in and follow...
I think it's hard to appreciate just how great this tool is - absolutely fantastic, saves everyone a ton of work!
Brilliant, just using it to restore what I lost on a corrupted eMMC.
Not 100% correct: You can inject games, too, so they are on the Wii U formatted hard drive or the internal NAND like any other Wii U game.
When you don't inject but start from vWii, then it is SD or FAT32 formatted USB only through.
As @The Real Jdbye said this is about compatibility. Anyway, as the question was how to use them on the Wii U, not how to use them on Wii U + PC, I would advice to go the Wii mote route. Think about it this way: SNES Classic Minic ontrollers go...
We can't see them through, so could you tell us a bit more about these errors?
Also how big is your SD card? You need at least a 64 GB card to dump a 32 GB console.
@4d1xlaan There where attempts of writing file managers years ago but these failed horribly as the filesystem I/O API of the homebrew SDK wasn't stable back then, causing bugs everywhere.
Today it seems no developer cares enough as they are all...
@ssouldier So you are downloading with NUSspli directly, no FTP involved? Then it's a different error for you. Let's see...
What does this mean? It's not a USB HDD but what else is it then? A USB stick? SD card in USB adapter? SSD?
@Blythe93 One could use FTPiiU to upload the installation files to USB or NAND, then install from there without a big SD card. ;)
Granted copying to the SD card with a card reader will be way faster than FTPiiU, so this might not be the most...
That might be one of the most insane plans ever and I hope you know what you try to do here... Anyway:
Start by understanding how USB works. You want to choose the port based on what device is plugged in, not based where it is physically...
You're probably missing some files. Redo the SD preparation: https://wiiu.hacks.guide/#/aroma/sd-preparation and double check the SD card layout (they show you a screenshot for a reason).
As @4d1xlaan asked already: How can it be there if the SD...
That sounds really weird and no, I have no idea what could cause that.
Try deinstalling the game completely, then downloading + installing again. Also make sure your USB drive is good (no cheap flash storage, Y cable in case of HDD and so on).
Only thing drive me crazy is all these new horror games nowadays is its so dark, all time. I can't even play them. I understand they trying to create spooky but be creative a little, not just darkness with pop out scare scenes.
