Yeah, it's why I switched to GitLab, because of Microsoft buying out GitHub. I'm not necessarily pro-America everything, but I would think a git repo based in the U.S. would be less of an issue than one based in China.

First of all, the article assumes that you're always going to make a project based on a copyrighted work, or just simply a work someone else doesn't want you to copy. Many opensource projects are created from scratch, or based off of another opensource...
Actually, there are plenty of free games on Steam, Switch, and Epic Games. That's what I meant.
...However, yes, I suppose that counts too, but my pirating days are pretty much over, so I couldn't recommend those kinds of places.

IIRC, this doesn't really have anything to do with the Nintendo World Championships. Basically, it's NES games with challenges, like NES Remix and some "special" games that already exist on NSO. To call it after the championships is a bit misleading.
I mean everything they've been doing within the past couple of years, and especially since the beginning of 2024. Frankly, I don't really care about Switch 2 anymore.
