What does the metal sheet on the back of the switch lite do?

It is RF shielding. It is there mainly for compliance reasons. You should be able to modify without it causing to much trouble

Are "gaming" chairs just a con?

I have a secret labs gaming chair and it is one of the most comfortable chairs I have ever used. That being said I think a really good office chair is not going to be much different as long as you are spending in the same price range

    HW fly - RP2040 - No Boot - Green Flashes - Switch v2

Basically you put your multimeter into diode mode, you will put your red probe on GND and then you would take a reading with the black probe on the sides of CPU capacitors connected to the flex cable that are not connected to GND. You should get a value anywhere from 0.5 to 0.8 if everything is...

    HW fly - RP2040 - No Boot - Green Flashes - Switch v2

If you are certain everything is connected properly then it might be time for a new chip. You could try taking some diode readings with a multimeter and comparing to those online. Also how are you checking the connections. They need to be checked under a microscope or something similar. You...

HWFLY LITE Blue and Flash Purple

The light blue light that flashes before you get a purple light indicates defective modchip error. Check your connections, make sure nothing is bridging and check diode readings. Also does the switch boot without the chip installed?

    HW fly - RP2040 - No Boot - Green Flashes - Switch v2

I think you mean thermal paste. Best way to clean it with IPA and a qtip

    HW fly - RP2040 - No Boot - Green Flashes - Switch v2

Ah ok I see what you mean. I was at first thinking this was hwfly. It probably is a connection or chip issue then

Try another SD card loaded with HATS pack

instinct v6 red purple blue light. after succesful boot 2 times

Flashing white indicates connection error to cpu capacitors. Flashing light blue(by the look of it) is an indicator of a defective modchip. I would start with the CPU connections. To me it is pointing to something damaged or bridged on the switch itself

Not a problem. Enjoy your switch:)

Switch OLED B point PROBLEM RP2040

I would certainly solder that GND point. It is there for a reason. I don't know about this particular case but I would actually expect a value to be read on the chip, but depending on how the circuit is constructed it may well be normal. Also are you taking your diode readings properly with red...

Switch OLED B point PROBLEM RP2040

It should not really matter. But I did just notice that the GND point is not connected in the photo

Switch OLED B point PROBLEM RP2040

Try disconnecting the chip. If the console starts up it is the chip. If not then you may have damaged something on the mainboard. Also shorts on CPU capacitors are normal as they have very low ESR so I would not worry too much about those. Plus I am not too sure what you mean by a different b...

    Covid-19 vaccine

Don't get too angry. You wouldn't want to have a heart attack. They seem to be much more common as of late for some reason

    Covid-19 vaccine

Well this is how I know your reasoning is complete bunk. You know two things about me and that is that I am type 1 diabetic and my age. So you would have no idea exactly what my odds were. For one you have no idea how good or bad my diabetic control is which plays a huge part in how much...
