Hey guys,

Got a water-damaged switch lite. It did not turn on at first and was fixed by replacing the FPC connector ( connecting the mainboard and the daughter board). Everything turns on now except on the D-Pad right button and the minus button not working. I have tried following the traces by checking continuity and it goes back to the mainboard. What should I check next?

Thanks

CHECK the acutal film switch button having continuity when pushed

Thanks for the reply, I finally determine the issue, it was the FPC connector I replaced. I checked the new strips of FPC connector I got from China and saw some are rated for 2A and some are 4A. The one I had originally solder on was a 4A one but when I replaced to 2A, it worked. The weird thing is that I get continuity within the 4A FPC connector (top row of pins to the solder leg) but dont have continuity between the solder leg of the motherboard and daughter board.

This is the link, not sure why they send me some 2A and some 4A.

Don't understand what makes them different from each other if they real share the same part# from manufacture.
Unless 4A one maybe a knockoff replica

Have no clue as they came in a roll of 4, I'm guessing it just a manufacturing defect. have not tried the 4A again.

I received a switch lite daughter board water damaged on the 29pin fpc connnector today. Replaced it with recent purchased 503300-2910, they are label 4A or 1A mark. Works like a charm.
So I guess the mark doesn't really make any difference:P

Hello guys. May I ask you for little help as I am facing some problems with my d-pad and left stick. I replaced my shell from coral to white from Extremrate. After replacing, my d-pad doesn´t do any input while pressing down and my left stick is not doing any inputs to left and right. Dpad only works up+L+R and stick up+down only. Do you have any clue what my problem is or can you give me some ideas for further troubleshootings?
I already replaced the left stick with a known working one but still the same issues...so it might not be the stick assy...I am guessing that daughter motherboard is faulty or any connection between both motherboards?

I actually have the same problem, the only thing wrong is that the dpad doesn't detect left, and I narrowed it down to the motherboard, as even with a fresh daughter board it still doesn't work correctly, I'm so lost.
