PS3 Loss of Sound with Latest Firmware 4.90 Update

Hi Folks,
Has anyone else had this problem with the latest version PS3 firmware 4.90? The audio no longer works for my PS3. I've gone to the sound setting and switched between hdmi and optical with no effect whatsoever. Any help would be great👍

Reset to factory defaults. Sound settings are in the xregistry.sys . This will reset it.

Thanks for the suggestion.

My challenge is after updating to 4.90 the day before yesterday, darn thing won't let me use my controllers via Bluetooth. They must be wired. No joy scouring through Settings.

I wonder if I can 1st save all the trophies gathered from months/years of gameplay...
