it's already have or not?
There's a home button LED on every official right joycon. There isn't currently anything to make it light up to indicate charging afaik, someone would have to write a sysmodule to do so. I don't think it would be too hard working from the example code that's available, but I don't actually know if there's an easy way to detect charge starting/stopping.

I am currently using Awoo-Installer and JKSV (save manager). Are there better substitutes nowadays?

I don't like Tinfoil, if that's avoidable, since their red flag on launch, in Atmosphere, is extremely sketchy.

Also, is there an payload launcher that is up to date?
There is a fork of Awoo-Installer called AtmoXL Titel Installer. I would recommend to replace Awoo by this one. I changed to it from Awoo about half a year ago.

Awoo-Installer hasnt been updated since Dec 2020. AtmoXL had several updates within the last months.

I also use JKSV as save game manager since I have a 3DS. On the Switch I also tried Checkpoint, but overall, I got along better with JKSV.

Is there any way to trigger airplane mode when developing a homebrew app?
I've been reviewing the documentation for a long time and I can't find anything about this.

Seconding DBI, it does everything that Awoo/Tinwoo/Tinfoil can do without any weird gotchas or fiddling. Batch installing nsps from a USB SSD is really convenient.

For me DBI have all the tools and cover your needs to install titles via USB, MTP or network manage saves local and remote to switch
I combine with atmolxl titel installer and JSKV if you like GUIs
