From what I've heard, catnip is an actual drug that is "made" for feline species because, when they consume it, their withdrawal only lasts few minutes.
I don't know why it "isnt made" for other species in what that sentence means.
Does it mean that it doesn't affect other species? or that the withdrawal on other species lasts longer?

It's a pheromone, it has natural attractant properties to cats

It wears off after the cats experience olfactory overload

It only affects 2/3 of cats, thought to be evolutionary adaptation because the oil from cat nip repels mosquitoes
