Okay, I'm a bit confused maybe.
NNU patcher does not by pass the DNS hack, so if I want to update games I need to remove DNS hack first?
The DNS filters the System update server, not the game update server, not the eShop access.
The NNU patcher removes the local verification (version check on the console) before accessing internet to check if there is a game update, which is not filtered by the DNS.
If you are on 5.5.2, there's no real reasons to keep the DNS and use nnu every time.
5.5.2 :
- disable DNS filtering
- update the console to 5.5.3
- re-enable the DNS filtering
- if you had CBHC installed, and you are on a EUR console, you need to reinstall the autoboot : launch "do not touch!", go to the menu, select "launch HBL", reinstall CBHC over the same NDS game. (don't mistake with another game!)
if you really don't want to update, you can spoof the firmware (it should work for game updates) by installing only the "version.bin" update manually, but really it's half of the update. they updated 2 files (the version and the EULA, spoofing, not updating the EULA is useless)
