As all Yo-kai Watch fans know, several Yo-kai Watch games for Nintendo Switch have been released in Japan for a while now and unfortunately none of them have made it to our shores. An English patch made also by fans has already seen the light of day, but no French project seemed to want to show the end of its nose. It's now done! I'm a beginner in translation and I'm alone (for the moment). I started the project two weeks ago and I'm happy to be able to present you already the beta version of this patch. Even if it is far from being complete it has the merit to exist and if some of you want to join me to help it will be with great pleasure. I have encountered some problems that I can't solve alone, so I count on your support!

Comme tous les fans de Yo-kai Watch le savent, plusieurs jeux de Yo-kai Watch pour Nintendo Switch sont sortis au Japon depuis un certain temps et malheureusement aucune d'entre eux n'est parvenu j'jusqu'à nos contrés. Un patch anglais fait également par des fans a déjà vu le jour, mais aucun projet français ne semblez vouloir montrer le bout de son nez. C'est maintenant chose fait ! Je suis débutante dans la traduction et je suis seule (pour le moment) J'ai commencé le projet il y à deux semaines et je suis heureuse de pouvoir vous présentez déjà la version bêta de ce patch. Même s'il est loin d'être complet il a le mérite d'exister et si certains d'entre vous souhaitent se joindre à moi pour m'aider ce sera avec grand plaisir. J'ai rencontré quelques problèmes que je ne peux résoudre seule, je compte donc sur votre soutien !

Installation:

(MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE OFFICIAL GAME UPDATE 1.0.2)
(ASSUREZ-VOUS D'UTILISEZ LA MISE A JOUR 1.0.2 OFFICIEL DU JEU)


The installation of the patch is a bit simpler. Everything is built around the LayeredFS. You just have to move the folder "0100C0000CEEA000" present in the zip of the patch and to move it in the directory corresponding to your firmware.
L'installation du patch est oun peu plus simple. Tout est construit autour du LayeredFS. Il vous suffit pour cela de déplacer le dossier "0100C0000CEEA000" présent dans le zip du patch et de le déplacer dans le répertoire correspondant à votre firmware.

Keep in mind that when you update the patch to a newer version of the patch, it is always advisable to delete all the old files to avoid data corruption or any other possible errors. Simply delete the old file and copy the new one instead.
Gardez à l'esprit que lorsque vous mettrez à jour le patch vers une version plus récente de ce dernier, il est toujours conseillé de supprimer tout les anciens fichiers pour éviter la corruption des donnés ou toute autres erreur possible. Supprimez simplement l'ancien dossier et copier le nouveau à la place.

ENG : Patch update to version 0.0.5 beta:
New chapters, yo-kai names, Pnj's names and dialogs as well as combat menus and HUDs and other odds and ends have been translated! Do not hesitate to let me know about any bugs or errors encountered! You can find the update details on our discord server ;)

De nouveaux chapitres, des noms yo-kai, des noms et dialogues Pnj's ainsi que les menus et l'HUD des combats et d'autres bricoles ont été traduit ! N'hésitez pas à me faire part des bugs ou erreur rencontré ! Vous pouvez retrouver les détails des maj sur notre serveur discord ;)

ENG : Hey guys ! After several months of work I've just finished 90% of the translation patch of Yokai Watch 1 on switch ! There are some missing information like the name of the âmultims and the help images, there are also some texts that I didn't find so I count on you to tell me about all the missing information, the bugs or the problems you can find :)
I wish you in the meantime a very good game ! and don't hesitate to join us on discord ;)

FR : Hey salut les gars ! Et voilà après plusieurs mois de travail je viens de terminer à 90% le patch de traduction de Yokai Watch 1 sur switch ! Il y'à des manques notamment le nom des âmultimes et des images d'aide, il y a aussi des textes que je n'ai pas trouvée donc je compte sur vous pour me faire part de tous les manques, les bugs ou les problèmes que vous pourrez rencontrer :)

Yes we are working on it however we are looking for a coder to help us in this task which requires modifying a few lines of game code so that the patch can be applied. :)

Oui nous y travaillons cependant nous recherchons un codeur pour nous aider dans cette tâche qui nécessite de modifier quelques lignes de code du jeu pour que le patch puisse s'appliquer.

Good luck for that! This project needs to release, I think yokai watch 4 is better than all pokémon on the switch

To my knowledge no, it seems to me that they stop the translation for the moment. But I advise you to ask them directly to have a better answer than mine ^^
A ma connaissance non, il me semble qu'ils ont arrêter la traduction pour le moment. Mais je te conseille de leur demander directement pour avoir une meilleure réponse que la mienne ^^

Any idea how we can contribute to the project?

Whether financial or not?

I also wanted to know if the translation is 100% done now please?

For Yo-kai Watch 1 it's not quite 100%, I still have some corrections to make, and some soultime titles are still not done. However, if you want to play the game, nothing prevents you from doing it 100% in French... the corrections concern secondary and unimportant dialogues in the course of the game.

For Yo-kai Watch 4 I am currently working on it, however it is much more complex to translate because it requires modifying the code of the game itself for the translation to work.
For the moment I am only at the beginning and I have not yet understood how it works.

Pour Yo-kai Watch 1 il n'est pas tout à fait à 100% j'ai encore quelque correction à faire, et certain titre d'âmultime ne sont toujours pas faite. Cependant si tu souhaite faire le jeu rien ne t'empêche de le faire à 100% en français... les corrections concerne des dialogues secondaire et peu important dans le déroulé du jeu.

Pour Yo-kai Watch 4 je suis actuellement en train d'y travailler dessus, cependant il est beaucoup plus complexe à traduire car il nécessite de modifier le code du jeu pour que la traduction fonctionne.
Pour le moment je ne suis qu'au début et je n'ai pas encore bien compris comment il fonctionne.
