crashmanX send me the files you already translated so maybe i can see why even the cpk its smaller from the original
and in that way maybe it can make the xdelta more smaller

maybe by doing clean retranslation the patcher will only see a small data change and make the patch smaller

the patch i did in the top 2 page was done with a patcher used on the pokemon games thats why it seems smaller but every time I do a new one its allways the same 300mb

actually i still havent try that patch i did first

Ehhh... Guess I gotta trying patching the game myself and see what happens.
If Rydian's right, all the files will be removed until a correct and legit patch will be out.
If the method doesn't work, the files stay.
It's going to take a while to get the game, so the patch stays until I can try for myself.

I'm not quite sure I understand. If the patch works you're going to remove it? If it doesn't it's OK?
As is the patch should work. It's stored in a xDelta patch.

OK Max. I'll have to send you the files else where though. I'll post up the links on the thread in /m/ later. A bit busy with RL stuff ATM.

I'm sure that the patch works ;)

I mean, if it's uncorrectly patched (storing large parts of the game in it, which it shouldn't have), then it has to be correctly patched.

If instead the patch can't get any lower than that because of some strange compression stuff, then even if it has large parts of the game in it, I guess it has to stay.

I've tried all the xDelta methods and found no way to shrink it down. I've done the Command Prompt version (Trying both CPK and ISO) but I can't figure out how to compress it any further. If someone wants to try their hand at it, be my guest.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot too so we can settle this ;) We just want to get this straight (for the rules, ya know!), thanks again for the translation, anyway :yay:

i think i know now why the patch is beign so big
it because to do the traslation we have to remake the cpk file and when the patcher creator begins it detects the big cpk data been diferent from the original it doesnt matter if we do it from the iso or the cpk it will be big
if we can just insert the modified files without doing again the cpk the patch will be much more tiny

well thats what i think after thinking a lot on it

I would LOVE to find a way to do that, however I don't know of any way to inject specific files into the original CPK. As far as I know we can only do what we've been doing, which is making a new CPK based on the files from the original.

yeah the only way that i think to make a patch tiny its that anyone will have to make the cpk file and insert it on the iso

so in that way the patch will only overwrite the translated files

I get what you're saying. Have the users re-build their own CPK files and only send them the translated ones. As much as I want to do that, it takes 10 minutes for me to re-build the CPK after I translate files. That's running on a Quad Core at 3.2Ghz. Unfortunately not everyone has a PC like that, I know a lot with weaker PCs. So I REALLY don't want them to have to wait so long.

No matter how i look at it. People who watched gundam pre SEED will pick Universe Accel, but people who started from SEED like me would always go for Cosmic Drive. Is there anything different between the versions other than the MS available?

No. There isn't. Just those extra MS.
(Spoilers: SEED was bad :ha: )

Either u watched Destiny only or what should i say lol... you fail?!?!?

I watched both and the original. SEED is just a rehash of the original. Opinions though.

Anyways, new patch should be coming along later this evening. Working out a few kinks and translating some more. Expect a late night patch.

do you have plans on uploading the patch for cosmic drive to mediafire? :D
4shared is too slow for me.. T.T
well its a patch for the c01.cpk file so it should work for both games
remember to extract the c01.cpk from the iso

and its 900kb your downloading it should not be a problem for anyone

another thing its that this patch its the same as the last ones uploaded just trying a new form to create it smaller
