You can use online with both

If you have a hacked Switch/Wii U to dump certain files related to your Nintendo account I think

Straight from cemu.cfw.guide, "This involves dumping a set of online files from your Wii U to make Nintendo think that the connection from Cemu is actually coming from your console." cemu.info also states in its FAQ "some system files must be dumped from a Wii U." It's possible with cemu but as far as I know from these sources, you need a proper Wii U or know someone with a Wii U to get it done.
