if i put my harddrive inside and it fat32 will it get formated and I will lose games?

I know i have to install multiman again if i put the harddrive that external with games inside but dont want to lose my games on it.

If you were using games off an external fat32 drive and put that drive inside the ps3, then I think you will lose your games.
