Has anyone ever seen or heard of or used "Atlas OS"?

https://atlasos.net/

It's supposed to be a Windows-based OS that's stripped down to minimize resource use and maximize performance, a "Windows version designed for gamers."
But I can't imagine Microsoft would allow something like that, and how this thing could be legal or legit.
Can someone explain? Is this safe to use, or will it steal all my stuff and escape to some tropical island with no extradiction laws?

Thanks.

Oh, so it's basically a system tuner and not a whole new OS? Legit but lame :ha:

but if you need a stripped down windows to play games.... oh boy
I have a chance to snag an old but not quite dead x86/Windows tablet to use as a Facebook machine (or in my Facebookless case a GBAtemp machine) and I want to see what else it can do. Someone mentioned Atlas OS to scrape up every last little bit of juice from it so I thought I'd ask around.
